I am a Notary Public and a Solicitor.

As a Notary Public I authenticate documents and transactions for private and commercial clients, for use in foreign jurisdictions.

As a Solicitor I specialise in all aspects of Probate, Trusts and private client work.

I am Managing Partner and Head of Probate at PGS Law LLP.

I have practised Probate and Elderly Client work for over 30 years, and I have a wealth of experience in Wills, Probate, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as being an experienced Civil Law and Employment Litigator who has worked with local PLCs and small and medium sized companies both in the North East and nationally.

I also sit as a professional trustee on several well-established local charitable trusts including The Chloe and Liam Together Forever Trust, The WA Handley Charitable Trust and The Roy and Pixie Baker Charitable Trust. I am also a former director and trustee of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
Over the years I have developed a particular specialism in asset protection trusts and I am well placed to advise with regard to the complex area of Family Protection Trusts and pride myself on my ability to bring clarity to an often impenetrable area of law.
I supervise the Probate and Elderly Client department. There are two other very experienced lawyers in the Department, and we undertake a wide range of wills, probate and elderly client work.

If you need a knowledgeable, friendly and local notary or solicitor to meet all of your Notarial or private client needs please contact me on (0191) 456 0281 or email me at wjd@pgslaw.co.uk .
